Hot Ham And Cheese Rounds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) round loaf sourdough bread
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    2 1/2 tsp. dried whole Italian seasoning
    1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
    1 large onion, thinly sliced
    2 medium size green or sweet red peppers, cut thin
    1 stalk celery, sliced
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) combined Cheddar/Mozzarella
    1 lb. sliced cure 81 ham
Preparation
    Slice off top third of loaf; hollow out bottom section, leaving a 1/2-inch shell.
    Combine mayonnaise, Italian seasoning and pepper.
    Brush inside of bread with 1/4 cup mayonnaise mixture, reserving remainder.
