Meat Loaf Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. ground beef
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/3 c. oatmeal, uncooked
    1 medium onion, peeled, washed and diced
    1 can tomato soup
    1 egg (test or break in saucer to check if egg is okay)
Preparation
    Mix ground beef with salt, pepper, onion and dry oatmeal and 1 egg thoroughly.
    Make patties and lay in casserole dish with sides touching.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 35 minutes.
    Turn over after 15 to 20 minutes of cooking.
    Test for doneness.
    If they are done, (not pink or bloody inside), drain off excess grease. Carefully open up one can of tomato soup and spread over meat patties.
    Place in oven again to cook sauce.
    Turn oven off.
    Heat from oven is hot enough as it is.
