Candied Dills - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. whole dill pickles
    3 c. extra fine sugar
    2/3 c. cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. pickling spice
Preparation
    Drain dills, discarding juice, and cut each into 1/4-inch slices and repack in jar.
    Combine sugar, vinegar and spices; bring to boil for 1 minute.
    Cool slightly.
    Strain out spices. Pour warm syrup over pickles.
    Store in refrigerator for 1 week before using.
