Bohemian Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2/3 c. sour milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. stewed prunes
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
2 c. nuts

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add egg yolks.
Sift together all dry ingredients.
Add alternately with liquids.
Mix in nuts and prunes.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Bake at 275\u00b0 in three loaf pans.
