Archbishop'S Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 whole cloves
    1 bottle Claret or Burgundy
    2 mandarins
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Stick cloves in the mandarins and roast in a warm oven, about 250\u00b0, until skin is brown.
    When skin is brown, take out of oven, cut into quarters and put in a saucepan, cover with Claret or Burgundy.
    Add sugar and let simmer until hot.
    Strain.
    Serves 4 to 6.
