Pierogi - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 medium potatoes
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 egg
    a little water
Preparation
    Peel and cook 4 to 6 potatoes as for mashing.
    Mash with 1 tablespoon margarine and 1/2 pound Cheddar cheese; let cool.
    Make a dough with 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 egg and enough water to make a dough; pinch off small pieces of dough and roll out.
    Fill with potato mixture; fold dough over and pinch edges.
    Continue this until all potatoes are used.
    You can either fry them in hot oil or boil them.
