Marinated Green Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cooking oil
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1 can French green beans, drained
    1 can garden peas, drained
    1 small jar pimento, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
Preparation
    Heat sugar, oil and vinegar until sugar is dissolved, stirring frequently.
    Cool.
    Pour beans, peas, pimento, celery, onion and pepper into sugar mixture; mix well.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Drain before serving.
