Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. tomato juice
    1 c. butter, melted
    2 c. flour
    8 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix melted butter, flour, sugar and salt.
    Add a little hot juice to mixture, then
    mix in with boiling juice and boil 1/2 hour.
    Put in jars and
    cold pack 30 minutes.
    Add milk or water and heat before serving.
    Yields 4 quarts.
