String Beans And Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh or frozen green beans
    1 lb. fresh corn, cut off the cob or frozen
    4 strips bacon
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp; set aside bacon.
    Save drippings.
    Boil water.
    Add sugar, salt and string beans; cook about 10 minutes. Add corn and bacon drippings; mix.
    Cook 5 to 8 minutes longer, or until beans are tender.
    Drain and serve (with bacon, if desired).
