Perfect Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 egg whites
    6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mix the cornstarch and 2 tablespoons sugar with the water. Cook together until clear; set aside.
    Add a bit of salt (1/4 teaspoon) to the egg whites; whip until foamy or standing in peaks.
    Add the sugar mixture; continue beating until creamy.
    Add the 6 tablespoons sugar gradually, beating until very creamy. Pile on pie.
    Bake for 30 minutes at 325\u00b0, or until golden brown.
