Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. kidney or pea beans
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. bacon fat
    scant 1/4 tsp. baking soda
    pinch of ginger
    heaping tsp. dry mustard
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    1/2 lb. salt pork
    onion
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight.
    Parboil about 1 hour.
    Drain off liquid and pour boiling water over beans.
    Put in bean pot.
    Add all ingredients and cover with hot water.
    Bake in slow oven (250\u00b0 to 275\u00b0) all day.
