Sweet Pickled Peaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. vinegar
    2 c. water
    8 c. sugar
    3 tsp. cloves and allspice
    2 sticks cinnamon
Preparation
    Combine vinegar, water, sugar, and spices.
    Bring to a boil. Drop in whole fresh peeled peaches.
    Simmer peaches in syrup about 5 minutes.
    Pack in hot, sterilized jars and pour syrup over the peaches.
    Seal.
    Yields 6 to 8 pints.
