Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. plus 2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation

Cream 3/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons butter and stir in milk. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and 2 tablespoons cocoa and add to creamed mixture.
Mix until smooth.
Stir in 1/2 cup nuts.
Spread in buttered 9-inch square pan.
