Amy Smith'S Angel Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 crushed Ritz crackers or 16 crushed Waverly crackers
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    whites of 3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix beaten eggs and add cream of tartar.
    Beat until stiff and gradually add sugar, then fold in pecans, wafers or Ritz and vanilla.
    Grease 9-inch pie pan.
    Put in preheated oven at 325\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Take out and cool.
    Mix 1/2 pint whipping cream and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
    Put on top of pie.
    Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of pie.
