Cherry Nut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. walnuts
    1 (10 oz.) jar whole cherries
Preparation
    Cream butter with sugar; add eggs.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream and vanilla.
    Fold in cherries and nuts.
    (Don't chop nuts or cherries.)
    Bake in floured and greased tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Test with toothpick before removing from oven.
