Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. box brown sugar
    2/3 c. corn oil
    3 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Cream brown sugar, oil and eggs, beating well after each egg addition.
    Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
    Combine with creamed mixture.
    Add vanilla, nuts and chocolate chips.
    The dough will be very heavy.
    Spread in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Cut into squares when partially cooled.
