Oriental Smoked Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 broiler-fryer (3 1/2 lb.)
    1/4 c. chopped green onions
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped ginger root
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    dash of pepper
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. dry sherry
    1/2 c. each: tea leaves, brown sugar and cornmeal
    1 tsp. sesame seed
Preparation
    Salt chicken inside and out; place in a heavy plastic bag. Refrigerate 5 to 6 hours or overnight.
