Poppy Seed Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. poppy seed
1 c. milk
3/4 c. oleo
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
4 egg whites
Preparation

Put poppy seed and milk in bowl and let soak for 1 hour.
Mix oleo and sugar until blended.
Add milk and poppy seed.
Then add baking powder in flour.
Add to sugar mixture and vanilla.
Beat the egg whites until stiff.
Fold in with the other mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Frost with Custard Frosting.
