Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. hot water
    1/2 c. cocoa
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream 2 cups sugar with 1/2 cup butter.
    Add 2 eggs, beating well after each.
    Sift two cups flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
    Add to cream mixture along with 1 cup buttermilk.
    Mix together, 1 cup hot water, 1/2 cup cocoa, 1 teaspoon soda.
    Mix with other ingredients, and add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    2 greased and floured pans, 9-inch.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
