Mushrooms In Brown Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. mushrooms
    2 medium onions
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    In a large skillet over medium heat, saute onions to golden brown in butter.
    Cut mushrooms into pieces.
    Place in saucepan with 1/2 cup water.
    Cook for 5 minutes.
    Then add to skillet with onions.
    Simmer for 20 minutes.
    Serve over pierogi or as a side dish.
