Cheese-Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. frozen, chopped broccoli
    2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans chicken broth
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3/4 stick butter
    1/2 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
    3/4 lb. Velveeta cheese, grated or cubed
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook broccoli in chicken broth for 15 minutes.
    Saute in butter until tender.
    Add flour and stir until smooth.
    Add all the milk and cook until thickened.
    Add to broccoli and broth. Add cheese and stir until it melts.
    Turn stove to simmer and cook for 30 minutes, stirring often.
    Season to taste.
    Makes about 3-quarts.
