Russian Tea Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. butter or margarine, melted
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/3 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 1/3 tsp. vanilla
1 large can cherry pie filling
Preparation

Mix together first 6 ingredients.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix and divide dough in half.
Press 1/2 of the dough into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Spread cherry pie filling on top.
Press other half of dough onto wax paper the size of pan, then turn onto pie filling in pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes, until brown. While hot, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
