Frozen Confetti Cheesecake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 (10 oz.) pkg. shortbread cookies, crushed
1 c. walnuts (optional)
1 stick butter, melted
2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
4 Tbsp. juice (orange)
1 container Cool Whip
1 c. frozen, chopped M&M's (use fun chips)

Preparation

Combine cookies, walnuts and butter in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan; press in place.
Chill.
Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk and orange juice with mixer in a large bowl until smooth.
Fold Cool Whip into cream cheese.
Stir in candies.
Spoon over crust and freeze until firm.
Thaw for 15 minutes before serving.
