Favorite Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can sliced fruit (1 lb. 13 oz.)
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Grease an 8-inch square baking dish. Drain fruit and arrange in bottom of dish.
    Sprinkle fruit with cinnamon and lemon juice. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Cream the butter with 3/4 cup sugar.
    Beat until fluffy. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Spread this batter over fruit.
    Combine remaining 1/3 cup sugar with cornstarch. Sprinkle over batter. Gently pour 1 cup boiling water over entire mixture. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
