Gram'S Cheese Straws - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. soft butter
    salt (optional)
    red pepper
    flour (to make dough)
Preparation
    Mix cheese, butter and salt (if used) together.
    Adding flour as needed, work in enough to make a stiff dough (use your hands to mix). Roll out on floured board to about 3/8-inch thick. With sharp knife, slice into strips about 3/8 x 4-inches. Sprinkle with red pepper. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until slightly brown. (Use a very lightly greased baking sheet.) When cool, remove from pan. Store in airtight container.
