Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 potatoes, diced
    2 onions, chopped
    3 carrots, sliced
    1 stalk celery, sliced
    4 chicken bouillon cubes
    4 to 6 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
Preparation
    Place all ingredients except evaporated milk into pot.
    Cover and simmer until potatoes are almost tender.
    Add evaporated milk and simmer an additional 1/2 hour.
    May top with chopped chives, if desired.
