Baked Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 ripe tomatoes, thickly sliced
    1 c. grated sharp cheese (Cheddar or Swiss)
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 tsp. fresh chopped basil or tarragon
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Arrange tomato slices in large shallow baking dish.
    Top evenly with cheese and bread crumbs.
    Season with salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle the herbs over all. Bake uncovered for about 1/2 hour or until cheese melts and everything is bubbly and delicious smelling.
