Ingredients

1 qt. milk
1/4 c. long grain rice (uncooked)
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins, dried cherries or any favorite dried fruit
1/4 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven
to
300\u00b0.
Butter
a 6 cup mold or baking dish. Mix
all ingredients.
Pour into prepared dish and bake 3 1/2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours. Bake until rice is very tender.
Serves 8.
