Yule Chiffon Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. oil
7 unbeaten egg yolks
3/4 c. cold water
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. egg whites (7 to 8)
Preparation

Sift first 4 ingredients together into mixing bowl.
Make a well and add oil, egg yolks, water and vanilla.
Beat until smooth with a spoon.
Add cream of tartar to egg whites in a large mixing bowl.
Beat with mixer until whites form very stiff peaks. Do not underbeat.
Pour egg yolk mixture gradually over beaten egg whites.
Gently fold just until blended; do not stir.
