Ingredients

4 c. coconut
1 c. sugar
6 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 egg whites
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
18 maraschino cherries, cut in half
Preparation

Combine coconut, sugar, flour and salt in mixing bowl.
Blend egg whites and almond extract.
Blend coconut mixture into egg whites.
Drop onto prepared cookie sheet.
Top each macaroon with half of a maraschino cherry.
Bake in 325\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
