Sausage-Rice Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. hot sausage
4 1/2 c. water
1 c. regular rice
2/3 c. almonds (optional)
2 pkg. chicken noodle dry soup mix
1 1/2 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped green pepper
1 medium onion, chopped
Preparation

Crumble sausage in skillet and brown.
In saucepan, bring water to a boil; add rice and soup mix.
Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until water is absorbed.
Add celery, onions and peppers to sausage.
Cook until tender.
Mix well.
Place in casserole dish and top with almonds.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
