Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. corn (fresh or frozen)
    2/3 c. milk
    1 tsp. melted butter
    vegetable oil as needed
Preparation
    Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt; mix well. Combine eggs, corn, milk and butter; mix well and stir in dry ingredients.
    Drop by tablespoonfuls into hot vegetable oil.
    Cook until golden brown; turn once.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Serve hot. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or syrup.
    Yields 2 1/2 dozen.
