Chicken Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 hen (5 or 6 lb.)
    1 1/2 c. corn meal, scalded and baked
    1 1/2 c. sour milk corn bread
    1 box Croutettes
    1 or 2 cans chicken noodle soup
    1 1/2 c. chopped onions
    1 c. chopped bell peppers
    1 c. chopped celery
    2 Tbsp. sage
    1 Tbsp. black pepper
    6 slices bread
    1 Tbsp. salt
    8 eggs
Preparation
    Cook hen tender with plenty of broth.
    Slip meat off bones. Put Croutettes in large bowl.
    Add all other ingredients and soften with broth.
    Stir together until there are no lumps.
    Add 8 eggs and mix well.
    Put in pan and add chicken.
    Pour broth over until well soaked.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until done, but not dry.
    Serve with giblet gravy.
