Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening or butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
    2 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add vanilla and almond flavoring. Add eggs; beat well until smooth.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
    Stir into mixture and work well.
