Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    15 pickles, washed and thinly sliced (do not peel)
    4 or 5 onions, thinly sliced
    5 c. sugar
    3 c. white vinegar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/3 c. salt (not iodized)
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Wash and thinly slice about 15 pickles (do not peel).
    Thinly slice 4 or 5 onions.
    Place in a gallon jar.
    Mix cold the remaining ingredients.
    Pour over pickles and onions.
    Cover with plastic wrap.
    Do not seal.
    Ready to eat in a couple of days.
    As you use them, you can add more onions and pickles to the juice and mix.
