Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can (No. 2 1/2 size) sauerkraut
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. onions, chopped
    1/4 c. celery, chopped
    1/4 c. green pepper, thinly sliced
    3 Tbsp. pimento, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Drain off liquid from the sauerkraut, put sugar and vinegar in saucepan.
    Heat this to a rolling boil.
    To the drained kraut add onion, celery, green pepper and pimento.
    Add the heated liquid to the vegetables; stir until blended.
    Leave for 24 hours to improve flavor.
    This keeps several days in the refrigerator.
