Jan Hagel (Dutch) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, separated
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. very finely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix butter, sugar and egg yolk.
    Blend flour and cinnamon. Add to butter mixture.
    Pat into lightly greased 15 x 10-inch pan. Beat water and egg white until frothy.
    Brush over dough and sprinkle with nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes until very lightly browned.
    Cut immediately into 3 x 1-inch strips.
