Basic Pizza Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. olive oil
    1 small onion, coarsely chopped
    2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
    1 (28 oz.) can Italian style plum tomatoes, coarsely chopped with juice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
Preparation
    Lightly coat large nonstick skillet with olive oil.
    Heat over medium.
    Add onion and garlic.
    Saute 1 minute.
    Add tomatoes with juice.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 30 minutes.
    Stir in salt and pepper.
    Use sauce immediately or cool and refrigerate, covered, for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
