Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. oleo or Crisco
4 eggs, separated
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. wine or fruit juice
3 tsp. soda, dissolved in 3 tsp. sweet milk
1 lb. cherries
1 lb. pineapple
1 lb. dates
1/2 lb. white raisins
6 c. pecans (chopped fine)
Preparation

Cream
sugar and oleo, add egg yolks.
Sift spices with 2 cups flour and add to creamed mixture alternately with fruit juice
and sweet
milk mixture.
Dredge fruit and nuts with 1 cup
flour. Pour
batter
over\tdredged fruit and nuts.
Beat egg
whites stiff
and\tfold in last.
Drop on greased cookie sheet and bake at 325\u00b0 for about 20 minutes.
