Creamy Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. packed light brown sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 1/4 c. pecan halves
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cream of tartar, salt and milk.
    Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves.
    Cook to 236\u00b0 to 238\u00b0; cool to 220\u00b0. Add butter, vanilla and pecans.
    Beat until creamy.
    Drop by spoonfuls on marble or wax paper.
    Makes 1 1/2 to 2 dozen.
