Sausage-Vegetable Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. Polish sausage
    4 medium baking potatoes
    1 medium sized green pepper, cut into strips
    4 medium carrots, cut into 3 x 1/2-inch strips
    1 (16 oz.) can French-style green beans, drained
    1 medium onion, quartered
    1 medium head cabbage, cored and quartered
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Cut sausage diagonally into 1/2-inch slices.
    Wash potatoes; cut into 1/3-inch crosswise sections.
    Layer sausage, potatoes and next 5 ingredients in order given in a large Dutch oven, sprinkling each vegetable layer with salt and pepper.
    Add water and bring to a boil.
    Cover, reduce heat and simmer 35 to 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
