Passover Macaroons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    6 or 7 blanched almonds
    1/4 c. matzo meal
    1/2 tsp. rum flavoring
Preparation
    Beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form.
    Add sugar 2 or 3 tablespoons at a time until egg whites form firm peaks.
    Grind or chop almonds very fine, then fold together all ingredients.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto oiled baking sheet.
    Flatten slightly with spoon or knife.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until lightly browned and firm.
    Let cool slightly, lift off baking sheet with spatula and finish cooling on wire rack.
    Yields about 6 dozen small macaroons.
