6 to 8 pared, cored medium cooking apples
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. lemon rind, grated
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 c. corn syrup
Preparation

Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
Arrange apples in pie plate with crust. Mix the rest of the ingredients and pour over the apples.
Add the crust (top).
Bake for 45 minutes or until the apples are tender.
