Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bunch broccoli, chopped and stalks peeled
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar
    2 cans kidney beans, drained
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    salt, pepper and garlic to taste
    1/2 tsp. cumin
    rice, chopped ham or chicken (may be added)
Preparation
    Pour Italian dressing over all and refrigerate.
