Peek-A-Boos - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
4 eggs, at room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
powdered sugar to dust over cake
Preparation

Cream margarine and sugar.
Add eggs; beat until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla.
Stir in flour and baking powder.
Mix until smooth.
Butter a 13 x 9-inch pan.
Pour mixture into pan.
Spoon a teaspoon of pie filling onto cake in 16 spots, spacing 4 spoonfuls evenly in each direction.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 50 minutes or until golden and cake tests done (glass pan 325\u00b0). Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Spoon slightly sweetened whipped cream over each piece.
