Heavenly Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. lard
    1 well-beaten egg
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Combine egg and milk.
    Add to mixture all at once.
    Stir until mixed but sticky.
    Turn out onto lightly floured board.
    Knead gently about 15 strokes.
    Roll to 3/4 inch thickness, cut with glass dipped in flour.
    Put on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
