Apple Pie With Walnut Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced apples (tart)
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    3/4 c. whipping cream
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    9-inch pastry crust
Preparation
    Combine first three ingredients.
    Let stand for 15 minutes. Combine sugar and next 4 ingredients.
    Add to apple mixture. Spoon into 9-inch pastry crust.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Then sprinkle with walnut topping.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake for 30 to 45 minutes.
    Can serve with ice cream.
