Illini Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. melted margarine
1 can Eagle Brand milk
6 oz. chocolate chips
14 oz. caramels
Preparation

Mix cake mix, melted margarine and half of milk.
Spread half of mixture
in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Melt caramels and remaining milk. Add on top of first layer.
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of caramel mixture.
Top with remaining cake mixture.
(Use small amounts of mixture and press them out and place on top.)
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 18 minutes.
Cool before cutting.
