Granny'S Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can evaporated milk
    1 can water
    2 c. sugar
    2 heaping Tbsp. chocolate
    4 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch or 5 Tbsp. flour
    6 eggs
    3 capfuls vanilla
    5 tsp. sugar for meringue
    2 prepared pie crusts
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients together.
    Separate 5 eggs and leave the 6th one whole.
    Put 5 egg yolks and 1 whole egg in dry mixture; mix well.
    Keep egg whites in separate bowl for meringue.
    Put mixture in boiler with milk and water; cook until thick, stirring constantly.
    When thick, add 3 capfuls of vanilla.
    Mix well with mixer.
    Let cool for a few minutes, then pour into baked pie crusts.
    Beat egg whites until they peak.
    Add 5 teaspoons sugar and mix well.
    Top pies with meringue.
    Brown in oven at 400\u00b0 for 2 to 4 minutes.
