Cherry Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cream cheese, softened (4 oz.)
    1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 c. cherry preserves
    1 Tbsp. kirsch or other cherry-flavored liqueur
Preparation
    Beat cream cheese and butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth.
    Stir in preserves and kirsch, if desired. Cover and refrigerate.
    Yield: 1 cup.
